FUSION 2011 pre-conference sessions
CAPP/CAPA/ICP Certificants
Attendees MUST ensure their badges are scanned for each breakout session or pre-conference workshop (if chosen) and must fill out all evaluation forms relative to these sessions. Continuing education credits will not be issued unless attendance can be verified through this process. Certificants are required to request their badges be scanned before the end of each session. In addition, certificants must evaluate all keynote speakers, thought leader sessions, and exhibit hall vendor tours to be awarded those credits. Attendees will be eligible for 1.0 credit for each vendor tour attended and evaluated. The evaluation forms will be found in your first day registration packet, which will be given to attendees on Sunday, May 8.
CPE Reporting
CPE credits will be awarded on the basis of one credit per 50-minute hour. The delivery method for all sessions is group-live. There are no prerequisites or advance preparation required for sessions identified as basic and overview. Intermediate sessions require one year of industry experience and advanced sessions require three years of industry experience. Individuals who wish to earn CPE credits must place a checkmark in the applicable CPE box on their evaluation form. CPE credit eligibility has also been noted as applicable for the pre-conference workshops, keynote sessions, and thought leader sessions. Unless otherwise noted, breakout sessions, thought leader sessions, and keynote sessions will qualify for one CPE credit. Credit values for preconference workshops and industry workshops vary and are listed with the course descriptions. International Accounts Payable Professionals Inc. is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.

This bootcamp is a perfect introduction to the compliance requirements of the the IRS 1441 rules, or a great overall refresher covering documentation, withholding and information return reporting — the cornerstones of 1441 compliance. If you're new to 1441 compliance or if you have been managing documenting foreign vendors, calculating the rate of withholding and/or reporting — this course provides a great overview, including the history of the rules as well as updates that will be required over the next several years.
