Cyrus Daftary is Chief Executive Officer of IHS Markit | CTI Tax Solutions, a global provider of international tax and regulatory compliance solutions. Mr. Daftary has particularly extensive experience with the United States withholding and reporting rules for U.S. and non-U.S. persons (1441 and FATCA), as well as the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). Mr. Daftary advises a number of global financial institutions and multi-national corporations about how to manage and monitor their compliance obligations.
Prior to IHS Markit | CTI Tax Solutions, Mr. Daftary was a Partner at a law firm and a Big Four Accounting firm. Mr. Daftary also served as a member and Chairman of the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC).
Mr. Daftary has extensively lectured and published in the areas of anti-money laundering, the European Savings Directive, international withholding and reporting, tax technology, and e-commerce topics as part of both his academic and private practice. Jill Dymtrow is a Director at IHS Markit, within the CTI Tax Solutions division, where she focuses on multi-national corporations, consulting, and information reporting.
Jill joined CTI as a founding member in April 2007. Her extensive experience guiding US Withholding Agents through the highly technical and complex compliance issues involving Section 1441, 3406, and FATCA remains unique in the industry today. She specializes in information reporting, documentation, withholding and general implementation of compliance in these areas.
Prior to joining CTI, Jill specialized in information reporting and withholding as a Tax Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2001, Jill began her 1441/3406 work with Qualified Intermediaries in preparation for the first QI Audit cycle. Shortly thereafter, Jill began working with US Withholding Agents on Section 1441/3406 compliance matters similar to those affecting QIs. Large US financial institutions and investment management firms as well as energy, pharmaceutical, entertainment and biotech companies consistently rely on Jill's expertise.
