CPE Credits

The Institute of Financial Operations recognizes that it is crucial for financial operations professionals to stay competitive in today’s career environment. As a provider of continuing education courses, The Institute offers various training opportunities, which are eligible for CPE credits. The delivery method for all sessions is either group-live or group internet-based and there are no prerequisites required. The Institute offers NASBA CPE Credits, in accordance with the standards of the National Registry of the CPE Sponsors, or CAPP/CAPA CPE credits in accordance with company certification standards.

NASBA CPE Credits:

The Institute of Financial Operations is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.NASBARegistry.org

In order to earn a NASBA CPE credit, individuals must participate in the session for at least 50 minutes, participate in all elements of engagement (e.g., polling questions, group discussion, instructor-posed questions with time for participant reflection, etc.), and complete the associated evaluation form.

CAPP/CAPA CPE Credits:

The Institute of Financial Operations offers CAPP/CAPA CPE credits, based on NASBA standards, that can be earned for CAPP or CAPA recertification. In order to earn a CAPP/CAPA CPE credit from an IFO session, individuals must participate in the session for at least 50 minutes, participate in all elements of engagement (e.g., polling questions, group discussion, instructor-posed questions with time for participant reflection, etc.), and complete the associated evaluation form. 

CAPP/CAPA CPE credits can also be offered for non-IFO and non-NASBA accredited sessions at the discretion of the IFO Education team. These sessions must be educational and credit eligibility will be based on NASBA standards. Complaint/resolution policy: The Institute will work to resolve complaints or answer questions regarding CPE credits in a professional and timely manner. Complaints should be addressed in writing and directed to the attention of the education department via one of the following methods:
