Renewal
The initial renewal will be due the first June 30th following two years after originally passing the exam. Subsequent renewals will be due every two years on June 30th of the reporting year. Renewal requirements along with the renewal fee must be received by the due date or a late renewal fee will apply. Prior to the renewal due date, notification communications are sent to all certificants who are scheduled to report in that year. This reminder will advise certificants of their expected standing at the two-year mark.
Late Renewal
Certificants who do not meet the renewal requirements by the appropriate due date may retain certification if a late renewal fee accompanies all other renewal requirements within 90 days past the due date. If payment is not made within this time frame, the certification will be inactivated.
Termination/Reinstatement
The Institutes’ Certification Committee has the power to deny, suspend, refuse renewal, or revoke certification for anyone who is found guilty of violating the Code of Ethics, the qualification requirements, or the recertification requirements.
If recertification requirements, and appropriate payment are not made within the three month time frame following the recertification due date, the certificant’s designation will be terminated.
Individuals may be considered for reinstatement of their designation by submitting a request/appeal, in writing, to The Institutes’ Certification Committee. If a reinstatement request is approved, the individual will be required to pay a reinstatement fee and agree to comply with all recertification requirements.
