Joe Flynn
Lavante


Joe founded
Lavante (then AuditSolutions) in 2001 and is a recognized expert in the field of P-to-P processes. Prior to founding Lavante, Joe served as Director of Operations for the statement audit group of Howard Shultz and Associates (HSA), then the nation's leading recovery auditing firm. His experience in the manual audit recovery sector inspired him to pioneer an automated solution that yielded more recovery in less time.
 
Selected as one of the 40 leading executives under the age of 40 in 2009 by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, Joe serves on the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Workers Investment Network and as an Ambassador to the San Jose Chamber of Commerce. He holds a BS degree in Economics from the University of Santa Clara.

William Lowman
Shuffield, Lowman P.A.


Bill Lowman is a founder and president of ShuffieldLowman as well as a Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated attorney. His areas of expertise include corporate, mergers & acquisitions, business taxation, securities, intellectual property, estate planning, charitable trusts and foundations, families with closely held businesses, executive compensation planning and general tax law.
 
Bill works with owners of businesses of many different sizes, from the small family business to many of the Top Golden 100 Companies in Central Florida, handling the legal intricacies of both their business and personal lives. In business, he helps to ensure company growth, profitability and, ultimately, a successful exit strategy. In life, Bill is focused on making certain that personal assets are safeguarded and properly planned to benefit future generations.
 
Mostly, Bill serves as an advisor, counselor, and confidante, where his keen interest in people is apparent in his big-picture perspective and personal touch.
 
You can find a lawyer to put together a good set of documents, but Bill is committed to much more than that. He strives to provide innovative and effective solutions to assist his clients with their varied and complex business and personal needs. Bill's commitment requires more focus and energy but is one that is most rewarding for him as a legal professional. Bill takes great pleasure in playing a role in the success of businesses, and in making personal lives more secure.

Lorri Kissell
Strategic Audit Solutions

Lorri Kissell is the Director of Business Development for Strategic Audit Solutions, a leading procurement to payment recovery auditing firm. She has more than twelve years working with accounts payable professionals nationally, delivering process improvement and recovery audit projects. Lorri has made a career of bringing cost-saving solutions to organizations.

Lorri is also the current President of The Institute’s Georgia Chapter and has more than a decade of chapter leadership. Additionally, Lorri is the Chair of the planning committee for the SouthEast Regional Forum (SERF).

Tom Lyman, CAPP
Lehigh Hanson


Tom has over 25 years in accounts payable management and is currently the accounts payable manager for Lehigh Hanson. He has been an inventor in accounts payable automation and processes for companies such as Safety-Kleen and Michaels. Tom also has been a frequent speaker as a subject matter expert at The Institute's Fusion events and been awarded the Lavante AP Leadership Award.
 
Tom has been very active with The Institute of Financial Operations for many years; earning his Certified Accounts Payable Professionals (CAPP), and volunteering with the Certification and Chapter Advisory Committees. He is currently serving as president of the North Texas Chapter, The Institute's largest and most active chapter.

Michael Mallon
Northeastern University

Michael has been with Northeastern University for over 29 years and is currently the Director of University Disbursements, Non-Payroll. Michael received his Bachelor's degree in 1984 from the University of Rhode Island - College of Business Administration and received his MBA in Finance in 1989 from the D'AMore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.

Michael has been a member of the Institute since 1994. He has been on The Institute's Board of Directors since 2010, serving as Chair from November 2012 through November 2014.

Peggy Marks, CAPP
Hunter Douglas


Since earning a BS in Accounting from Rutgers University, Peggy has worked in various accounting management roles in corporate America finance/accounting for 35 years. She was previously with Duff and Phelps for nearly ten years as the vice president of accounts payable globally and is now with Hunter Douglas.

Peggy has been a member of The Institute for 20 years in which time she has earned her Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) and volunteered as a member of the IFO Chapter Advisory Committee, working with a team of leaders to update and streamline Chapter Guidelines and strengthen local chapters. Peggy has also taken on leadership roles, as both vice president and president of the New Jersey Chapter of The Institute of Financial Operations, where she collaborated with chapter leaders in the northeast to develop the first Northeast Regional IFO event in October 2014 in Atlantic City, NJ. The event was a success with a turnout of members from Maine to Pennsylvania.

Peggy is also actively involved in many charity efforts, including, but not limited to a large event in which she and her colleagues walk to fight breast cancer in Central Park, NY in October of each year.

Josh Morrison, MBA
JLM Consulting Services


Josh is a seasoned P2P professional with specific expertise in business systems and implementations, process improvement, automation, transformation, supply chain relationship management, and analytics. Josh formerly held leadership roles at a Forbes Top 10 company, with oversight of Accounts Payable, Vendor Relations, Procure-To-Pay and Strategic Sourcing. Today, Josh operates a successful independent P2P consulting firm and works as a Senior Consultant with Lavante.

Josh hold an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, is a member of American Mensa, and serves as IFO New England Chapter President. Josh is a proud father of three and enjoys volunteer work and spending quality time with family and loved ones.
